The Good News

God made us and He loves us.

He wants us to have a relationship with Him. God wants us to have the gift of eternal life. This is a free gift that is not earned or deserved. But what stops us from having this free gift of eternal life? It is the sin of man.

We rebel against God and our sins separate us from God.

Our sins deserve punishment and we cannot save ourselves.

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

We need forgiveness so that we can have a right relationship with God.

There must be a way to God. Let’s see God’s way. It is good news to us. God is merciful and He loves us with an everlasting love. The Bible also tells us that God is just and He must punish sin. How can God be both merciful and just?

God shows His love and justice through the person of Jesus Christ.

Jesus is fully God and fully man. Jesus came to earth and lived a sinless life. He took the penalty of our sins on our behalf by dying on the cross. He was buried and rose from the dead to obtain a place in heaven for us.

Isaiah 53:6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray. Each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Jesus obtained for us a way back to God.

Jesus Christ offers us eternal life as a gift. This gift can only be received by faith. Faith is the key to God and to eternal life. It is not merely knowing about Jesus. Neither is it just believing for the moment only.

It is trusting in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life.

Revelation 3:20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.

This good news is for you. Would you like to receive this precious gift of eternal life?

If you do, you can receive this gift through Jesus Christ right now. You can pray this prayer:

Jesus, I am sorry that I have sinned against You. Please forgive me. Thank You for dying on the cross for me. I now choose to turn away from my sins and receive You as my Saviour. I place my trust in You as my Lord and accept this gift of eternal life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

You are now a child of God!

Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God -- John 1:12
